FG Officially Launches Distribution Of 2,000 CNG-powered Tricycles To Empower Youth
The Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNG-i) and the Federal Ministry of Youth has officially launched the distribution of 2,000 Compressed Natural Gas-powered tricycles as part of efforts to empower the youth and to reduce transportation costs for Nigerians.
The program, which kicked off on Tuesday October 1st 2024 at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja, aimed at providing over 2000 young Nigerians with the opportunity to own and operate CNG-powered tricycles.
In attendance at the event was Dr. Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri, Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who confirmed that plans are in place to expand the distribution of CNG-powered tricycles to other states in the country.

Toks Omishakin, the secretary of the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA), on Friday October 4th 2024, rode on Lagos’ Blue Line to experience the city’s growing transportation infrastructure.
Omishakin, who rode alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Seun Osiyemi, was impressed by the quality of the Blue Line rail system.
The 4th Secretary of Transportation for the state of California stated that the Blue Line was on point with any American and European transit system. He commended the Lagos State government for its significant strides in transportation development.
Since full passenger operations began on 4th September 2023, the Blue Line operated by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has provided two (2) million passengers with a safe and speedy ride.
Lagos Taskforce Storm Cubana Night Club At 1 AM, Seizes Number Plates Of 28 Illegally Parked Vehicles
The Lagos State Government has seized the number plates of twenty-eight (28) vehicles that were Illegally parked at Cubana Night Club during a night enforcement exercise conducted by the Security Taskforce team at 1a.m on Saturday October 5th 2024 (today)
In a statement posted on X.com, the Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, stated that the vehicles were obstructing the free flow of traffic along Sobo Arobiodu road, GRA Ikeja.
The statement further revealed that the owners of the offending vehicles will all be charged to court.
